The Difference of De Grandpré Chait

Planning your career begins now! Getting a good start on your legal career is essential and we know that choosing the right firm in which to practise is just as important. This first professional experience will mark the beginning of your career and might greatly influence the rest of it. That is why it is important to choose an internship that is right for you and, most importantly, to choose a firm that is right for you.

At De Grandpré Chait, you will learn how to tackle the current challenges facing our legal world. From the globalization of our profession, to the surge in the lawyer population, to responding to an increasingly demanding clientele, we will prepare you to overcome them all. With us, you will not only become a great lawyer, you will become a legal entrepreneur. We will teach you how to expand your contact network, sharpen your business acumen, and develop your entrepreneurial flair. At De Grandpré Chait, your professional future will evolve with the future of the profession.

Articling Students Recruitment

De Grandpré Chait usually recruits five articling students each year. They have the opportunity to start working with us during the summer following their third year of undergraduate law school. In order to help you make an informed decision regarding your future area of expertise and enhance employment opportunities, our program for articling students focuses on you!

From the moment you step through our doors, you become a member of our team. You are valued as a legal professional the same way we value our most seasoned lawyers. As such, you will receive a competitive compensation while attending Bar School as well as the reimbursement of your Bar School tuition fees. With this kind of investment, you can be sure that we are not simply looking for mere articling students, we are recruiting our future colleagues. With a recruitment rate near 85%, it’s clear that when we adopt you, it’s for life!
